There are certain processes our system goes through that result in printing off pieces of paper with only a small amount of useless text at the top. The inspiration for this project came from the huge waste of paper at my office. I made this journal for about 6 including the leather and the awl which i got from amazon so there s no excuse not to give this a try. I love making my own leather bound customized journals and the possibilities are always unlimited.

Just use a sturdier leather if you make it way bigger and you may want to make more holes for stitching in each booklet like instead of 4 may be 6 depending on how much taller the pages are going to be. In this tutorial i will show you how to make a pocket sized leather bound journal complete with decorative inner lining to personalise it to your own tastes. I show you the process that i go through to make a complete leather journal. The stitching techniques used are long stitching.

Hi the journal it can be as big as you want using the same steps. Love the rough edges paper and rustic styling of these books.
